Vintage Cuffs Tutorial

Check out this advanced tutorial for vintage style cuffs. It's very customizable and can be an accent to virtually any outfit. The materials are easy to find and inexpensive, but getting it right may take some effort.

What you'll need:

  • a yard of ultra suede (or any durable fabric to substitute)
  • a large metal ring, about
  • needle and matching thread (or fabric glue if you’re feeling lazy)

How to do it:

  1. Start out by cutting about 6 inches off the whole yard of ultrasuede. You will use this for the middle portion of the bracelet. Fold in half and sew on each end of the ring. Trim off excess fabric.

  2. Use the rest of the ultrasuede and double it. Take the open end and sew it to the ultrasuede bar that you sewed onto the ring. You want the nice end as the tail to the strap. Make sure that all the undersides match up so that you do not have the ugly underside peering from the top.

  3. Wrap around your wrist twice, using the original photo as a guide to make sure it the strap lines up nicely.

  4. Tighten and done!
